Rita Kwong is a GIS Analyst at SWAPE and earned a B.A. in Geography at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her undergraduate research focused on using GIS systems and remote sensing data for predicting patterns of species richness and rarity for plants at a regional scale. Her research findings would be cited in a number of publications on global conservation priorities, natural resource management, and tropical ecology and would be used for studies of anthropogenic disturbance and estimates of forest biomass.
