Dr. Agardy is a nationally recognized expert in forensic environmental science. He specializes in litigation management, support and expert witness services to industry, insurance carriers, local government, engineers and contractors in the areas of environment and construction. Dr. Agardy has over 40 years experience in the practice, management, research, marketing, administration, acquisition, sale, and teaching of civil, environmental, gaseous, liquid and solid waste, hazardous waste, and forensic engineering. Dr. Agardy received his Ph.D from the University of California at Berkely in 1963.
Dr. Agardy is a leading expert in the field of water pollution control and has extensive experience in hazardous waste management, environmental planning and analysis, and forensic investigation of explosions, fires, and toxic materials. Dr. Agardy's impact has been extensive, from his pioneering work in environmental engineering to his contributions as a professor of civil engineering at San Jose State University, where he developed the graduate program in sanitary engineering. In 1969, Dr. Agardy joined URS Corporation as a sanitary engineer, rising to the become president and CEO in 1987. He has produced significant research in the areas of gaseous, liquid, solid, and hazardous waste and has co-authored numerous textbooks in the field of environmental engineering. Dr. Agardy has lectured at several dozen Universities here and abroad including the University of California, MIT, Stanford, University of Hawaii, Miami University, Vanderbilt University, University of Utah and the Air Force Academy, and has worked in over 14 foreign countries during his 40 plus years of professional experience.
