SWAPE's scientists and regulatory specialists serve as technical advisors and experts to attorneys in areas of environmental, toxic tort, and product liability litigation. We have supported the legal community serving as technical consultants and experts in support of litigation concerning sites contaminated by chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, fuel oxygenates such as MTBE, perchlorate, insecticides, herbicides, heavy metals, hexavalent chromium, and dioxins.

The work effectively with clients and legal counsel to develop the technical strategy and structure of the case. We provide expert services for litigation planning; case development; depositions and expert reports; expert testimony; and assisting in review of the opponent's experts. We also provide consulting services in the form of document acquisition, research, data processing; data management; data analysis; and computer graphics and animation services for trial.

We have successfully assisted clients on a wide variety of environmental cases. SWAPE has highly qualified experts with specific expertise in hazardous waste, site assessment, toxicology, risk assessment, air dispersion modeling, environmental forensics, and construction.

SWAPE commonly works with affiliated experts such as marine scientists, chemical engineers, and physicians who specialize in other areas of practice including hydrology, groundwater modeling, petroleum engineering, epidemiology, and medicine.

SWAPE provides witness and plaintiff identification services through the use of our network of legal clients and private Investigators. These resources are utilized for locating and interviewing persons and developing evidence for environmental claims cases.
